I know it probably won't happen but I really wanna see this guy have a redemption arc.

I don't think all of them will get a redemption arc. (Although Dabio has hope) I mean Zach Varmitech is a psychopathic inventor who's tried to kill them more than once! Donita is a fashion freak and she's almost as crazy as Zach. Gourmand is implied to be a wanted criminal (if you don't know watch platypus cafe and listen to what Martin says to him.) Paisley just doesn't care.
Since Rex and Dabio aren't that evil, I understand your desire for them to break away from their villainous bosses. Your idea makes more sense realistically. However, this is fictional. I believe any bad person could change, but cracking the code to release the good in them is just extremely hard in some cases. If the writers wanted to, they could write just the right scenario to make the villains have a change of heart. You certainly don't have to agree; that's just what I personally want to see.
I know what you mean. I kinda wanna see moments in the show where we learn that unlike the other villains, Rex has a conscience. Y'know where he's the kind of villain who will love to make the Wild Kratts suffer through a thing or two but he's still got restraint. For example: in a villain team up the villain put the Kratt bros in a life or death scenario, Dabio just goes along with it but Rex would say "These are people we're doing this too!" I think that would be a good moment in the show and for his character.
It's a good idea. Rex's character seems accurate in this scene. You should write for the show. :) You're obviously good at knowing how certain characters would act in certain situations.
Oh gee, thanks! I didn't expect that response from you. I kinda started this discussion because in a story I wrote where the characters of my own story series meet the Wild Kratts, Rex has a rededmption arc. He starts off on the villains side, wanting to pave but after the villains almost costs the entire Wild Kratts team and my characters' their lives Rex starts to see how corrupt his employer and her allies are so he rightfully quits Pave Nature Incorporated (He even roasts Paisley calling her 'midget') and chooses to join the Wild Kratts to make up for everything he unknowingly did wrong. I was thinking about redeeming Dabio but I know that he wouldn't quit working for Donita that easily so he stays on the villains side sadly, but he still has the hope of redemption.
Interesting idea. We'll have to wait and see if someday anything like what we discussed actually happens.
I heard Zach and Paisley will be in the upcoming 'Blue and green: The living Earth' special and given the title maybe we'll learn that Rex has some morals and limits depending on what the villains are planning!

I honestly couldn't believe it was Paisley to redeem herself! I was expecting Rex to have the same kind of redemption but not Paisley!. It really caught me off guard! I was really happy to see that whilst Paisley wants to destroy nature she doesn't necessarily want to destroy the planet! It was also cool to see her stand up to Zach! (Honestly, Varmitech is just hurting himself at this point...) I still wanna know where Rex was. Hopefully we'll get an answer and I'm hoping he redeemed off screen I'd love to see his interactions with the Wild Kratts as an ally! But yeah, I guess our wish for a villain redemption was granted!
Yes it was! :D It's really funny how this happened so soon after our discussion! I was so shocked and I love it so much!!!! And yes, I sure hope we find out Rex is redeemed too.
I wonder what Gourmand and Donita will say about this new path Paisley's taken!
