- "Splash Claw" is not to be confused with Splash.
Splash Claw is a male plumed basilisk who first appeared in the Season 1 episode "Walk on the Wetside". His name comes from the way his claws splash against the surface of the water while running on it.
Background[]
As Martin and Chris are water skiing in Costa Rica, they wonder how basilisk lizards are able to walk on water without having to be pulled by a boat. They eventually find Splash Claw and observe his behaviors to understand the power of water-walking. Aviva made them Basilisk Creature Power Suits after they had collected enough information. In the meantime, Donita and Dabio caught Splash Claw and put him into suspended animation to make him serve drinks by running across a pool. By using Basilisk Powers, the Kratt brothers were able to rescue Splash Claw and set him free and in the wild.
Physical Appearance[]
Splash Claw is an adult basilisk lizard with green and blue scale patterns. He has large plumes from his head to his tail covered with several black markings. The feet on his hind legs are large and spread out to help him run on water. His eyes are yellow.

- Martin was originally going to name him "Skitter", but Chris pointed out that any lizard could be named that. Martin tried to a think of a name that would be more fitting for a basilisk lizard and came up with "Splash Claw".
