Spirit Jr. is a male spirit bear cub, named after his mother, first appearing in the Season 4 two-parter, "A Creature Christmas," although he was formerly introduced in a later episode, "Spirit Bear."
Background[]
In "Spirit Bear," Spirit Jr. encountered new villain Ms. Paisley Paver and her henchman Rex, who came to the island intending on destroying his habitat and building a mega storage facility. The young cub found himself right in the path of the destructive pavers and was almost crushed until Martin intervened, and urged Paisley and Rex to stop for the cub's sake. Even after learning of of the bears' presence, Paisley refused to listen to reason and instead captured Spirit Jr. and Martin, before continuing to pave the island.
Eventually, the cub's mother, Spirit, and Chris in his Spirit Bear Power Suit came to the rescue to destroy the pavers. During the battle, Aviva helped Martin re-activate his Creature Power Suit with Spirit Bear Powers in order to free Spirit Jr. After chasing Paisley and Rex away, Spirit Jr was reunited with his mother, as well as his black bear cub sibling, whilst the Wild Kratts team helped clean up the island.
In "A Creature Christmas," Spirit Jr. is captured once again, this time by villains Zach, Donita, and Gourmand. Separated from his family, he is taken alongside Bellyful to be used as Christmas ornaments in their shopping mall, Varmitech Village. Eventually, he, and the other baby animals are rescued by the Wild Kratts team and they celebrate Christmas in the Tortuga HQ together before being returned back to their homes.
Physical Appearance[]
Spirit Jr. is a white black bear cub, known as a spirit bear, (albeit in close resemblance to a polar bear). He inherits his mother's blue eyes and black pupils, and sports a round head.
Trivia[]
- Spirit Jr. strongly resembles Poby, the polar bear cub from the Season 1 episode "Polar Bears Don't Dance."
