- This page is about the animal character. For the episode, see Shadow: The Black Jaguar.
Shadow is a young male black jaguar cub living in the lowland tropical rainforests of South America. He first appeared in the Season 2 episode "Shadow: The Black Jaguar".
Background[]
His first appearance was in "Shadow: The Black Jaguar", where he was shown to live in the Central American rainforests with his mom in their den, or lair. Zach captured him for his new line of Spybots, but he was saved by the Kratt brothers who used Jaguar Powers to infiltrate his jet. He made his second appearance in "To Touch a Hummingbird", as Chris and Martin were zip-lining through the rainforest. He appeared for a third time in "Liturgusa Krattorum", now located in the rainforests of South America, while the Kratt brothers were explaining the scientific names of animals. For a fourth time in "This Orca Likes Sharks", he was seen learning how to climb trees in Central America. He also appeared in both of the two film specials, "A Creature Christmas" and "Creepy Creatures!", and then, on a screen image, in the other film special, "Cats and Dogs".

Trivia[]
- He seems to like Zach, even though he is a villain. It's possible that it's because he wears black, or Shadow is simply too young to understand that Zach is a threat.
- Shadow and his mom have been shown to move between Central and South America throughout the series. As of his latest appearance in "Creepy Creatures!", they are currently living in South America.
