The Ring Chip is an electronic component built by Aviva. It was designed to reduce the chance of a malfunction occurring in the Creature Power Suits, and was claimed to have taken over a year to construct. It was introduced in the season 3 episode "Chameleons on Target."
Background[]
- In "Chameleons on Target," Aviva told Martin and Chris that she wasn't going to be programming any Creature Power Suits today because she was busy working on the Ring Chip. Plans soon changed when the ring was stolen by an unidentified lemur, so Aviva made Chameleon Powers to help them get it back. After a long day of searching, the Kratt brothers stumbled upon an aye-aye that had the Ring Chip on its finger. They caught the lemur using the suit's tongue-flap ability. Just as Aviva arrived to take the Ring Chip back, the aye-aye took a bite out of a fruit, causing the juice to short it out. Upset at first, she then looked at the bright side of things and said that she was glad to learn about the chameleon and their powers. Aviva stated that she was going to start working on a new one, entitled Ring Chip 2.0, hinting that the new one might make an appearance in a future episode.
