The Reticulated Python (Malayopython reticulatus) is a species of large python in the family Pythonidae native to South and Southern Asia, from India to Indonesia. It is the world's longest snake and listed as least concern on the IUCN Red List because of its wide distribution.

It is an excellent swimmer, has been reported far out at sea and has colonized many small islands within its range.

It is among the three heaviest snakes. Like all pythons, it is a nonvenomous constrictor. They can weigh up to 70 kg (155 lbs). Even this weight is passed by the Burmese python and the green anaconda, the reticulated python is long, reaching up to around 6 m (20 ft). They are they third largest snakes in the world behind the previous snakes listed, and can swallow a deer or pig whole. They get their name from the reticulated patterns on their bodies. These pythons are major predators of deer, pigs, monkeys, lizards, rodents, and frogs.
