Paisley Planter, formerly known as Paisley Paver, is a recurring antagonist turned supporting character in Wild Kratts. Voiced by Julie Lemieux, she made her first appearance, along with her henchman, Rex, in the episode, "Spirit Bear". She and Rex were the latest recurring villains to appear in the series. At the end of "Our Blue and Green World", she retires from villainy to become an ally to the Wild Kratts in their endeavors to preserve and protect nature.
Paisley Paver is a businesswoman who served as the CEO of Pave Nature Incorporated. As her company's name suggested, Paisley sought to "pave over" nature. She relied on her henchman, Rex, to run her fleet of paving machines.
Physical Appearance[]
Paisley’s regular villainy outfit
Paisley is a woman of notably very short stature, with platinum blonde hair, pale, grayish skin, and light green eyes. As a businesswoman, her attire consisted of a long-sleeved gray suit with a dark gray shirt underneath, as well as a skirt and black heels. She also wears square black glasses.
Paisley wearing a hard hat
Sometimes, She wears a yellow hard hat whenever she and Rex is doing some construction in an animal’s habitat.

In the episode Race to Goat Mountain, she wears earmuffs. Her earmuffs have gray faux fur covering her ears and with a black band holding around of her ears.
Paisley’s beach outfit
Following her redemption in Season 7, her outfit has changed to reflect her metamorphosis; Her beach attire in "Our Blue and Green World" consists of wears pink capri pants, matching sandals, a white shirt with teal flower markings, round red-rimmed glasses, and a large blue flower in her hair.
Paisley’s gardening outfit
As a gardener in "Activate Kid Power," Paisley wears a blue navy apron over a long-sleeved light grey shirt with blue navy buttons on the sleeves, with a white shirt underneath, as well as dark grey skirt and black shoes with white socks, wears circular black glasses, and wears a grey hat with a yellow stripe circling around it.
Personality[]
Paisley is quite picky, but also very prim and proper. She despises nature, calling it disgusting and panicking over something as little as stepping on soil, and generally doesn't care for wildlife. She appears to be a bit of a germaphobe when it comes to the outdoors. Her goal, as she puts it, is "to pave all wild places for future generations." She also doesn't like delays or people wasting her time, and cannot tolerate being late. She wants and expects things to be done on time or earlier than expected.
However, her mindset isn't set in stone. Upon seeing the natural beauty of nature within the coral reefs and the great risk they, the Earth, and the world are at from her efforts, she is willing to change her beliefs for the greater good, using her talents of construction to help animals rather than harm them. The fact that she was willing to change and become an ally to those she saw as enemies proves that she is good at heart.
After her redemption, her opinions on nature change and she is devoted to protecting it, as well as gaining a more ecstatic attitude. She continues to build her own structures, but instead works around nature rather than destroying it. Now, she even uses nature's designs as building inspiration.
Background[]
Paisley Paver makes her first appearance in the episode, "Spirit Bear", as her boat approaches an island inhabited by bears (where the Kratt Brothers and Aviva happen to be too), wanting to turn it into a mega-storage facility. At the island, she gives her henchmen Rex permission to start the pavers, (and also reveals her dislike for nature). In the midst of her progress, she is interrupted by the sudden appearance of Martin Kratt, who stops her from unknowingly flattening a spirit bear cub (named Spirit Jr. by Martin). Finding Martin and Spirit Jr. to be nuisances, she uses an extendable arm feature on her main paver to get them out of the way by capturing them. However, Martin is able to warn Chris and Aviva about Paisley Paver's plot.
While coming up a big hill, a boulder is rolled down the hill, forcing Rex to use his pavers to stop it, and it's revealed to be Chris in his Black Bear Power Suit that rolled the boulder. Teaming up with Spirit Jr.'s mom, Chris fights off the pavers while Aviva frees Martin and Spirit Jr., Martin uses this moment to activate Black Bear Powers and ties both Paisley and Rex to their own extendable arm. Realizing defeat, Paisley demands that Rex "get them out of there", and Aviva obliges by sending the villains to their boat, along with their pavers, Rex laments that he didn't get to pave the island, and he's reassured by his boss that they'll find somewhere else to pave. As the villains are gone, the Wild Kratts reminisce about the new villains they'll be dealing with.
Paisley Paver returns along with Rex in the episode, "Elephant Brains!", as they arrive at an Indian rain forest to build buildings. Paisley is sprayed by an Asian elephant, causing her to panic over getting dirty, and Rex quickly cleans her up, and Paisley sends Rex to get rid of the elephant, but after an elephant smashes a paver, she gets the idea to use the elephants in her scheme. As the villains gather up more elephants, they are noticed by the Kratt brothers, who try to get her to stop, only for Paisley to capture them along with a baby elephant named Fingertip. Paisley restrains the Kratt Brothers and puts Fingertip inside a cage and forces the adult elephants to put I-beams inside holes dug up by pavers, but Fingertip manages to escape and bring the other Wild Kratts to the scene. After Chris and Martin receive Asian Elephant Power Discs from Aviva, they activate their Creature Powers and team up with the elephants to bring down the pavers, and the villains end up getting muddy. Unable to stand being dirty, Paisley gives up and flees the rain forest along with Rex, stating that she will pave somewhere else.
In "City Hoppers!", she attends a meeting with Zach Varmitech, Donita Donata, and Chef Gourmand as they welcome her into the league of villains that are against the Wild Kratts.
In the episode, "Creepy Creatures!", she and the rest of the villains collect scary animals for a haunted house attraction that they built. After the plan fails, she gave Zach her paving bill.
In the episode, "Amazin' Amazon Adventure", she and Rex team up with the villains so she can build a megamall in the Amazon rainforest.
In the episode, "Race to Goat Mountain", she enters a challenge with the Wild Kratts to race to the top of Goat Mountain, where the winner gets to decide the fate of its ecosystem. She lost to Chris and Martin with the help of their Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Goat Power Suits.
In the episode, "Our Blue and Green World," Paisley and Zach team up to flatten the Madagascar beach and forest to make a tropical resort. After numerous missed calls of almost being spotted by the Kratt Brothers, they invade the island and chuck the Tortuga into the water. They proceed to cut down the trees to make way for the pavers, despite the crew's protests. During the ensuing battle against the brothers in their Indri and Blue Whale Power Suits, Paisley enters the Tortuga requesting the crew to move. However, when she sees the coral reef and its inhabitants on the big screen, she is nearly moved to tears by its structure and beauty. The crew is able to teach her about the coral reef, the animals that build it, and the threats they, as well as the world and its populace face from pollution and destruction, not unlike Paisley's paving. Finally understanding the importance of a healthy environment, she retires from the environmental villain business, much to Zach's disbelief and anger. With Paisley's help and building expertise, and the Wild Kratts team's knowledge on animals and nature, an environment-friendly and interactive resort is made: a Blue and Green World!
In "Activate Kid Power", Paisley returns, having changed her surname to "Paisley Planter." No longer paving animal habitats, Paisley seeks to help the Wild Kratts and the Wild Kratts Kids build and preserve habitats and wildlife refugees instead, remodeling her Pavers into Planters with the help of Aviva's design.

- Paisley is the only female character to not have prominent lips.
- Paisley is the first villain not to debut in the first season. Instead, she debuted in the fourth season.
- Paisley is the first villain in the show's history to redeem herself and become an ally to the Wild Kratts and nature.
- Paisley is the second villain to be involved with a corporation or company of some sort. The first is Zach Varmitech, CEO of Varmitech Industries. It is yet to be known if she retires as CEO of Pave Nature Incorporated or if her company changes following her redemption.
- Paisley is the second female villain to have a male assistant. The other being Donita Donata.
- Paisley is the third villain whose name is an alliteration. The others are Donita Donata and Gaston Gourmand.
- Paisley is the first character to change their name, as her surname is changed from "Paver" to "Planter."
- Paisley Paver is the first Wild Kratts villain whose schemes don't target animals directly; rather, her plans make use of their habitats, and she only views the animals themselves as an interference at best, and a threat at worst. However, she will capture animals if it means either getting them out of the way or helping her in their plans.
- As a villain, she represented habitat destruction, which is a leading cause of extinction. Post-redemption, she focuses on habitat restoration and building harmoniously with nature.
- Paisley is rather different and less evil compared to the other villains. She doesn't target animals directly, and (unlike Zach) she is perfectly fine with listening to rules in competitions with the Wild Kratts, as shown in "Race To Goat Mountain". This is furthered in her next appearance where she takes her foes' educations to heart and helps them, retiring villainy.
- Unlike how Donita Donata is towards Dabio, Paisley is respectful to and seems to genuinely like her assistant, Rex.
- Her evil laugh is a giggle.
- She usually walks with a cartoonish scuttle.
- Paisley is sometimes seen having to stand on things because she's so short.
