Background[]
In "Octopus Wildkratticus", Aviva mentioned that she was working on a prototype for the Octopod. After the Creature Power Suits sank to the bottom of the ocean, she and the Kratt brothers used the prototype to look for them. Several new features were added to the Octopod during the mission, including jet propulsion, ink defense, arm regeneration, and color-changing camouflage. The team eventually discovered that Seven the octopus was using the suits the entire time, and were able to utilize the new upgrades to distract him and have the suits deactivated.
Trivia[]
- Although it was never actually seen in the episode, Zach Varmitech mentioned the Octopod in "Skunked!".
- The Octopod bears a resemblance to the vehicle of the same name prominently featured in the children's book and television series, Octonauts. Both vehicles are modeled after the giant Pacific octopus.
