The Mechanical Mantis Arms are one of Zach Varmitech's robotics inventions powered by living animals. They are modeled after the raptorial forelegs of the praying mantis and are used to grab objects that are far away (particularly Wild Kratts inventions). They were first built and introduced in the season 3 episode "Praying Mantis."

Information

In "Praying Mantis," Zach was inspired to build the Mechanical Mantis Arms after watching a mantis catch a moth. He used it to steal the Miniaturizer, but it didn't take long for the Wild Kratts team to reclaim it as well as the mantis used to power the machine.
