Summary[]

When Aviva experiences an invention slump, the Wild Kratts team is determined to help. They take her down the mysterious Amazon River in search of inspiration from amazing creatures that live there. But Aviva must reclaim her invention prowess fast, because Zach, Donita, Gourmand, Paisley, and Rex seek to mine the area's biodiversity for their own nefarious schemes.

Plot[]

The show begins with the Kratt brothers canoeing on the Amazon River and exploring giant otters. As discuss the biodiversity of the Amazon, they wonder what it would be like to have the Creature Powers of those creatures, and the show transitions into the cartoon segment.

Chris and Martin are preparing to go on a canoe ride to find some endangered pink river dolphins and after a close call with a caiman, the brothers are on their way. But then, Koki and Jimmy call them to inform of a problem. Aviva is suffering from "inventor's block" and can't come up with any new ideas for a groundbreaking invention. Even though her friends remind her of the amazing inventions she made in the past, Aviva says that she may never invent anything new ever again. Realizing that the inventor was in desperate need of help, Chris suggests that Aviva needs some bio-inspiration and coming into the Amazon is great way to find it.

Meanwhile, Zach Varmitech had secretly attached a Spy-bot on the bros canoe so that the evil genius could spy from the comfort of his building. He becomes intrigued by the the large biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest and sees an opportunity to hatch a diabolical scheme with the help of his villain friends.

Back on the Amazon River; Martin, Chris, Aviva, and Koki float along the water as they spot rainforest creatures that inspired many inventions that humans still use today. While Aviva finds that interesting, what's she's looking for is something more "cutting-edge". So Chris activates Hummingbird Power and zips through the rainforest undergrowth to look for creature inspiration. Unfortunately, his energy levels deplete fast and is now in danger of being chomped by a school of piranhas. That's when he finds his salvation on the back of a capybara which Martin later names Blockhead. And capybaras are just one of a handful of Amazon creatures that are amphibious, being able to roam on land and move through the water just as well. Perhaps Aviva could invent an amphibious vehicle, one that would be able to traverse land and aquatic environments. It seems like bio-inspiration has found her.

Meanwhile, Zach's jet descends into the Amazon while Jimmy is asleep on duty, of course. So the evil inventor sends out a conference call to Donita Donata, Gaston Gourmand, and Paisley Paver. He tells his friends about how the Amazon Rainforest is a goldmine in biodiversity and how the foursome can exploit the animals based on their particular interests and then build on the land afterwards. And with that, all the villains are on board.

Back with the Wild Kratts, the foursome are enjoying making observations with Blockhead, but this capybara cruise is cut short when a green anaconda wraps his coils around Blockhead and Chris; trapping them both. Martin, Aviva, Koki spring into action to pry their friends out of the snake's grip, but their efforts prove to be futile. The heavyweight constrictor just won't let go. Just then, Martin pulls aways and activates Electric Eel Power thanks to his friend Voltage to shock the anaconda allowing Chris and Blockhead to escape from his loosening grip. And the younger Kratt brother deactivates Hummingbird Power the moment they reach the shore. Aviva is completely blown away by how strong an anaconda is and considers incorporating that into her invention. Not to mention that she can use food waste and other biodegradable garbage as a renewable energy source and store that electricity in fuel cells the same way electric eels store it in their electric organs. Creatures are such great teachers in a way and the Wild Kratts can then take those teachings to develop inventions to help better their mission to learn more and protect animals from evil forces.

Speaking of evil forces, the villains have set up camp in a clearing where they're collecting the video feed from the spy-bot. And despite some arguments, they are more than enough animals to go around in this ecosystem. The sooner the bad guys collect every last creature in the rainforest, the sooner Paisley can start paving it over to build a megamall. And with that, Zachbots and mannequins start flying far and wide to collect animals.

It isn't too long before the Wild Kratts discover the spy-bot on their canoe and discover the villains' plan. The team immediately panics about how this scheme could jeopardize the animals, plants, trees, freshwater system, and undiscovered species. The girls had back to the Tortuga so that Aviva can start build her invention and Koki can decipher the villain camp coordinates out of the spy-bot. In the meantime, Chris and Martin will continue on canoe to search for any trace of the bad guys. But no sooner so the brothers slip away so Zach, Donita, and Gourmand pop up and capture the capybara and anaconda they were just hanging out with. The evil trio take the animals and make their back to the camp of which the Wild Kratts still have no knowledge of.
