"Deer Buckaroo" is the 3rd episode of the Season 6 of the PBS Kids show Wild Kratts. It is the 137th episode of the series overall. It premiered on April 17, 2019.

Synopsis[]

The Wild Kratts team remembers their deer fawn friend, Buckaroo, from a few years ago. They realize he's a full-grown white-tailed deer by now, so they spread out a search to find him while learning about deer society, antlers, and the life of a fawn.

  • This is their first deer based episode.
  • Chris was missing his gloves in the scene where he deactivated Bald Eagle Power.
  • At the end of the episode, Chris is somehow able to activate White-tailed Deer Power even though Aviva only made one disc and gave it to Martin.

  • Male deer grow antlers and shed them each year near winter, they are used as weapons to fight over females.
  • A male white-tailed deer is called a buck, females are called does and babies are called fawns.
  • Antlers are made of bone and are grown and shed each year, they also fed by blood vessels in an outer layer of velvet coating that needs to be rubbed off on trees, only deer have antlers.
  • Horns are made of keratin and grow continuously throughout the animals life, with blood vessels inside them.
