The Convergent Lady Beetle (Hippodamia convergens) is one of the most common lady beetles (AKA ladybugs) in North America, being found throughout the continent; it has also been introduced to South America. The species is named for the two short white lines on its thorax, which converge toward each other. Like most lady beetles, they feed mainly on aphids and other soft-bodied insects.
