What an honor, I'm so happy for you!
I didn't realize the 2025 Wild Kratts fandom still debated Caviva vs. Maviva. The older comments on the article pages are obsessed with shipping them, but it has never really come up during my time in the fandom.
I respectfully disagree with shipping Aviva with either of the Kratt brothers because I don't see how it fits into the canon or even the fanon. First and most obviously, Chris and Martin are real people (with actual wives). They would feel silly and awkward giving their personas love interests. Second, considering Aviva's friendship with both Kratt brothers is an integral part of the show, seeing her in a relationship with one would be an odd dynamic. Plenty of people want one brother with Aviva and the other with Koki, but this still feels unbalanced considering Koki is a minor character compared to Aviva. What most convinces me romance is out of place here is how the characters act with each other. People compile mounds of miniscule "evidence" on both sides. Others say they are confused, because Aviva seems to crush on Martin sometimes and Chris other times. The answer is none of anybody's interactions have been romantic: Chris and Martin are both Aviva's friends. The whole team are affectionate, funny, and caring with each other because that's how friends act. I have positive interactions with people all the time, so I guess shippers would think I'm in a love octagon.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with using your imagination. I don't see it, but we all have different opinions. A ship doesn't have to be canon to be enjoyable.
If I HAD to pick? Maviva.
Hello! It's so great to see you again! Hopefully we can discuss Shapes of the Armadillo when you watch it. I saw the cactus animation on Facebook, and I thought it was hilarious how the official Wild Kratts account had the animators make a little skit based on that iconic funny line.
As for a Zach redemption arc, exactly. Years ago I had this dream that made me see Zach in a new light and feel oddly sorry for him. In the dream, he was wandering around feeling depressed and alone, which made me realize he doesn't truly seem to have any love, purpose, or true happiness in his life. Being the most evil character used to mean I had the least sympathy for him, but it became the very reason I ended up feeling sorry for him.
I want this character to change his life around for everyone's sake!
I wanted to dislike this episode at first, but I ultimately enjoyed it. It was so bad it was good. Definitely felt more like a Wild Kratts parody at times. I loved how the show actually acknowledged Zach's triangle shaped head, how characteristically conceited he is about it, and the crew's funny reaction upon only just realizing, followed by them being like, "Wait, who cares?" And the EXPRESSIONS!🤣 It's such a treat the animators decided to do something different.
Also, did you notice Zach called the baby armadillo cute?! We almost never get these kind of moments from him. It was funny and dare I say...heartwarming?
You're not the only one! My mom said something like, "Wait, Pikachu?! I didn't know it was based on a real animal." Then I told her she misheard its name.
Ignoring the fate of Rex wouldn't just be silly--it would be a waste. I really hope we get a plot utilizing him.
Who wants to talk about the new episode? 🔵🟢
I think Tardigrade Xtreme would have benefited from a rewrite. I wrote a review of the episode awhile back:
Same! Welcome to the wiki!
Anyone can post here if they want to talk about Wild Kratts. Welcome to the wiki!
That's a lovely story. It's possible they used your idea!
@HakunaMatata1214 I was also excited about the three parts you mentioned!
I also liked how we finally got to see Chris as a tree with the Martin oak tree episode having existed for years, and I was pleasantly surprised to see other adult characters and with lines no less.
Both outfits are cute imo, but I admit this ensemble better expresses how she is still the same character, but with a new perspective. Do you think the change was planned, or did they listen to people online calling it ugly?
@NanoDilla That's perfect!
@Mr.Kay-27 Wow you predicted it.
@Rubyredrose2468 It's a fair question, but I have no clue. What did you think of these episodes?
Activate Kid Power was better than I thought it would be! I always wanted an episode centering around how kids can help animals, and I found it well executed. I felt like clapping at the end.
@Pholidota I have to agree with you on the other two. I also noticed filler, poor pacing, and dumbed down voice acting. The quality is hit or miss, but rarely gets to the glory of the early seasons. I'm curious to know why you take issue with the special, though.
